About Us
I’m Nelson Toriano, Personal Trainer, Real Estate Investor, and Financial Expert
My career has taken me to many places, and every new venture has led me toward greater personal growth while reinforcing my passion for helping others. With my roots in the fitness industry, I strive to bridge the gap between the worlds of fitness and finance, helping fitness professionals achieve the same career freedom I have found for myself.

My Passion
I’ve Always Had a Passion for Fitness
My career began in marketing, but I became a personal trainer because I was drawn to helping people and making a difference in their lives. As a trainer, I ran my Coach Nelly Toriano business, which was acknowledged as an Approved Continuing Education Provider by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Today, I continue to be passionate about coaching and mentoring fitness professionals, now leveraging my knowledge of investing, annuities and life insurance, customer relationship management, and account management and growth to help personal trainers make informed financial and business decisions to become more financially independent.
My Journey
My Training Goals Shifted From the Physical to the Financial
Early Career Focus
When I began my career as a personal trainer, I was in my 20s. Back then, my focus wasn’t on how much I was saving for retirement or spending more time with my family. My top priority was achieving personal bests in my training routine. However, as I got older, my perspective shifted. The demands of the job started to take a toll on my body and mind.
Pandemic Challenges
The pandemic only compounded these challenges. Gyms closed, clients disappeared, and income streams dried up. Many trainers left the profession entirely, while others tried to adapt, clinging to hope for better days. A few used the downtime to explore financial literacy and investing, but for most, survival was the primary focus.
Evolving Priorities
As I got older, life brought additional responsibilities, including caring for aging parents and reevaluating my priorities. The physical demands of training became increasingly taxing. I began to question how much longer I could maintain such a grueling schedule and how I could better prepare for the future. These questions shifted my mindset from chasing immediate goals to planning for long-term stability—financial security, family time, and a career path that aligned with the evolving demands of my life.
Turning to Investing
For me, the answer was to shift towards real estate investing and later toward life insurance and annuities. I saw the power of investing and began to build true financial literacy, which is elusive in the fitness industry. So much attention is placed on marketing and sales, but there’s a big piece of the puzzle missing. My goal is to leverage my own experience and financial tools to help other fitness professionals position themselves toward greater financial freedom, flexible work schedules, and true self-reliance. By building financial stability, trainers can better navigate these challenges, ensuring they’re prepared to weather life’s inevitable storms while maintaining control over their future.
